Large Geode Rock Bowl
Red Geode Large Serving Bowl, Modern Porcelain Rustic Textured Home Decor white Handmade dining Entertaining Housewares
MADE TO ORDER ITEM
From the "Sunken Treasure Series" that I first made in Greece in 1992. After I moved to the US and visited Arizona and the South West, I renamed them "Geode" bowls. Desert Decor.
They are wheel-thrown with a porcelaneous stoneware clay and have my Lava Textured Glaze on the outside, and my trademark metallic crackle finish inside.
Shown in red crackle glaze but many other colors are available.
The one for sale here is the larger of the two and it is 4" high by 9" wide.
I originally made these as decorative, but if you wanted to use them for serving you most certainly could.
The glazes are food-safe for light food use like salads, fruit-salads, not very oily substances. DO NOT put in a microwave, since the final glaze contains 2% 22K Gold metal in powder form. I recommend hand-washing with a mild detergent and you will enjoy it for a long time!
